SEPTIC DO AND DON’T DO
WHAT NOT TO DO, TO YOUR SEPTIC
DON’T- pour greases, fats, oils, food, coffee grounds, down any drain
DON’T- attach garbage disposal to sinks
DON’T- no paints, harsh chemicals such as antifreeze, gas, automotive fluids down drain
DON’T- put non-biodegradable product like diaper, cigarett butts, condoms, feminine hygiene products down toilet
DON’T - attach back wash from any water purification equipment to septic drain line
DON’T- attach any sump pumps to plumbing boing to septic
DON’T- upgrade all toilets, shower heads, and washer to minimize water consumption
DON’T- plant shrubs, trees, or other landscaping within 10 feet of field bed minimum
DON’T- drive anything large over field bed
SEPTIC DO LIST
DO- have septic tank pumped every 2 years
DO- add a monthly bacteria/enzyme treatment
DO- use natural cleaners over hash chemicals
DO- add screen strainer to kitchen sink
DO- add inline filter system from tank to field bed
